Looking For Alaska written by John Green: a book that a number believe is overrated, something I believe is not true.

I have never reviewed a book here on my blog. One, because I feel that some of you may find it boring and tedious and, two, because I don't read often - something that I need to drastically change.

For Christmas, from my lovely friend Rhianna, I was given a knit jumper and the the book Girl Online written (kinda) by Zoe Sugg.


I say kinda because there was an uproar about the fact that it was  ghost written... I don't know the ins and outs but at the end of the day Zoe is a YouTuber not JK Rowling.

Without a shadow of a doubt, I loved it. Despite the fact that the story line was very predictable and to a certain degree unbelievable, I did really like it. It was cute and it got to the point. Not at any stage did I think that it dragged on for too long however, it was a very easy read for me.


Fortunately, I do not suffer from anxiety although, a number of Zoe's readers and subscribers do. After reading the book, it has made me understand a little bit more about panic attacks. I know that, you will never understand something unless you have gone through something similar, in this case I have not. Although, the way the anxiety has been described through out the book, it has changed the way I think about it.

Anxiety is a massive deal and unfortunately, the vast majority of people have anxiety at one stage in their lives. I am always here if anyone needs a chat about what is going on. I know for a fact that talking about something that is hurting you/ making you anxious will help.

I could relate to the book in the sense that Penny (the main character) writes a blog. There is one major difference though, mine is an open blog whereas hers is anonymous. This got me thinking... Would the things I post online be different if I hadn't have told you all my name?

After pondering, I think to a certain degree it would. I would never decide to be rude or what have you, but I think I would talk about my feelings in a bit more detail. You see, people are still getting to grips with the idea that I write a blog and post YouTube videos. I was asked the other day... 'Anna why do you post online'.

I post online for the same reason Penny does in the book, I post online because it's something that I greatly enjoy doing. I have created a small little space on the internet where I can connect with lovely people all across the world. That is why whenever someone comments something nasty, it hurts a bit but I've learnt that laughing it off is the best thing. Just like Penny, I've learnt that there is a risk of posting online... but she had her happy ending - so could I have one too?

I'm sorry for not posting in a while... at the moment I just haven't been very organised with anything. I just wanted to update you with a few things that I have experienced over the last week or so.

Firstly watching theatre at the cinema. Some of you may be thinking... 'what... that's odd' and your right it was. On the 27th of May to celebrate my mum's birthday - my mum, her best friend, my brother, sister and I went to the new London Designer Outlet in Wembly to watch the Curious Incident of the dog in the night time performed in theatre, then filmed and showed in Cinema. It was a totally new experience that made me stop and think about how other people think. Without giving the whole story away - the award winning play organised by the National Theatre shows the adventure of one young boy - Christopher Boone. The play is a murder mystery like no other. Christopher is fifteen and has Asperger's Syndrome. He knows a very great deal about maths and very little about human beings. He loves lists, patterns and the truth. He hates the colours yellow and brown and being touched. He has never gone further than the end of the road on his own, but when he finds a neighbour's dog murdered he sets out on a terrifying journey which will turn his whole world upside down. It truly made me think about how we treat people with disability and generally how the logic of the character Christopher made me want to think more like him in some situations that I may other wise be other thought about. It was an amazing night to go along with my amazing mum!

Secondly, My brother's 18th birthday! I can't believe it's been nearly 14 years since I joined the word and started to share it with this amazing boy! He truly has annoyed the hell out of me while looking after me like an angle :D To my delight later on the the summer we are taking a trip to Paris! I cannot wait and I will be filming a lot while I'm there so look forward to seeing blog posts about that shortly. Thanks for be an amazing brother and of course thanks for being there too sis.

Lastly... Tumblr talk. Thanks for getting me to 100 followers on Tumblr! I do know that is a minuscule number but everyone of you mean so much to me. I love chatting to you via Tumblr. If you want to ask a question go ahead. I would also like to point however (negative not here) yesterday it was D-Day; a significant point in WW2 and history in general. Yet despite many men and women dying for us to have a the freedom we in Britain do now - Tumblr decided that they would celebrate the fact that it was Doughnut day.  Even though I enjoy using Tumblr A LOT I still felt that it was extremely disrespectful with one comment from tumblr saying...

Well today was meant to be the start of a new positive month but unfortunately this has had to be postponed due to very painful stomach cramps (oh the joys of being a girl!), meaning my sarcasm levels have well lets just say risen a lot. Missing a day of school always feels odd... I don't really know why but it does. Anyway today, with watching about 3hrs of Miranda - cheering me up immensely -  I have crept upon something that I would like to do. 20 things that I would like to do from now on to help myself enjoy every situation.
